JaCKS & BUCKS

At Jacks & Bucks we are aiming to unite New Zealand sportsman and create an online platform for stories, information and entertainment. New Zealand has a large amount of active hunters and fisherman who are extremely passionate about the sport, and we feel it is time to create something where we can come together. When humans work together, we can achieve great things. We saw this recently with the Himalayan Tahr where we successfully repelled intentions of eradication. Hunters and fisherman have traditionally been divided- there is a competitiveness as everyone is trying to take the same resource (whether it be Deer or Salmon), so individuals are reluctant to perhaps come together. This needs to change- less experienced hunters need support and issues need solving. We can all learn something off one another. It is frustrating to see young or inexperienced hunters having to learn everything the hard way because no-one is willing to take them out in fear of giving away their favourite spots. It's tough for keen inexperienced hunters getting into the sport, and they will lose interest quickly. Here we try create a sense of community and a little more media around outdoor sports on an online platform.
